Si vous souhaitez lire une romance choupi-chou graou qui vous fait voir des coeurs partout et vous donne l'impression de naviguer sur un arc-en-ciel le temps de quelques heures de lecture, ce livre est pour vous ! Attention ce n'est pas gnan-gnan non plus xD

Nos deux héros sont tout en profondeur avec chacun des vies pas forcément idéales et qui essaient de faire au mieux avec ce qu'ils ont. Sabrina s'occupe de ses 3 neveux après le décès de sa soeur : il y a deux grands ados et un enfant plus jeune, Harry, qui est autiste, elle est d'ailleurs sur le point de l'adopter, mais le "père" pose problème, c'est un type complètement à la ramasse qui n'a jamais été là pour ses enfants... Sabrina est aussi hyper timide, elle a du mal à interagir avec les autres, mais elle est en thérapie et se donne des mini challenges chaque jour.

Arrive Wyatt, le héros parfait pour Sabrina, c'est le coup de foudre pour tous les deux. Wyatt est gentil, patient et compréhensif. Il s'occupe seul de ses deux filles depuis que leur "mère" a décidé de se casser. Quand il rencontre Sabrina, il voit bien qu'elle n'est pas très à l'aise au milieu des gens mais il ne va pas essayer à tout prix de l'aider à affronter ses peurs, mais plus être là au cas où et laisser Sabrina venir vers lui. Sachant qu'en plus les deux filles de Wyatt sont de vraies stratèges xD.

Ce livre nous met le sourire, il y a certes des obstacles à passer pour les héros mais rien n'est insurmontables et ça ne tombe jamais dans le drama. tout le monde devrait avoir un Wyatt dans sa vie.

If you want to read a cute romance that makes you see hearts everywhere and makes you walk on a rainbow just by reading, this book is for you ! Attention it is not a soppy romance either xD

Our two heroes have a deep personnality with a life thta's not necessarily ideal and they are trying to do the best with what they have. Sabrina takes care of her 3 nephews after the death of her sister : two teenagers and a younger child, Harry, who is autistic, she is about to adopt him, but the "father" causes problem, it's a looser that has never been there for his children... Sabrina is also extremely shy, she has trouble interacting with others, but she is in therapy and gives herself little challenges every day.

Then there is Wyatt, the perfect hero for Sabrina, it's love at first sight for both of them. Wyatt is kind, patient and understanding. He has been taking care of his two daughters since their "mother" decided to go away. When he meets Sabrina, he clearly sees that she is not very comfortable among people but he will not try to help her face her fears at all cost, instead he tells her he's here in case she needs him and let Sabrina come to him. Plus, we have Wyatt's two daughters who are real strategists xD.

This book makes us smile, there are certainly obstacles to overcome for the characters but nothing is insurmountable and it never falls in the drama. everyone should have a Wyatt in his life.

heureusement que j'étais en vacances pour lire ce livre car devoir attendre de n'être plus au boulot pour le lire aurait été insupportable (oui bon je sais j'exagère un peu...), car j'ai passé littéralement ma journée à le lire, ne m'arrêtant que pour manger xD

déjà le préquel "Beard With Me" nous a mis dans des conditions émotionnelles fortes, mais alors là Penny Reid nous achève à coup de pelle. Vous pensiez sortir indemne du tome de Billy et Claire/Scarlett ? et ben non, bam premières poussières dans les yeux dès le chapitre 4 ! Et c'est que le début. Nous allons du couinage intensif (sexy Billy qui sort de la salle de bain en serviette ♥) à l'émotion qui nous tombe dessus d'un coup, parce que des gens disent des choses, et si même les persos pleure, comment voulez-vous faire autrement T-T ?

Rassurez-vous, ce roman est certes chargé niveau émotion, mais il est aussi rempli de comique Winstonien : quand toute la fratrie + conjoint.es + enfants se retrouvent tous en vacances en Toscane, il se passe forcément des choses absurdes (c'est pas tout le temps la faute de Cletus xD). Le résumé le dit : toute la famille va se liguer ensemble avec pour seul objectif que Billy et Scarlett finissent ensemble à la fin des vacances. Tous les coups sont permis, toutes les stratégies plus au moins subtiles pour que Billy et Scarlett passent du temps ensemble et se parlent.

Billy et Scarlett ont beaucoup à dire, ils ont passé des années chacun à se morfondre dans leurs actions passées et des conséquences qu'elles ont eu, chacun n'ayant jamais eu la totale vérité sur ce qui s'est passé et sur pourquoi l'autre a agit ainsi (tout ça c'est dans Beard With Me). Le chemin pour arriver au fond des choses ne va pas être une partie de plaisir, ils souffrent tous les deux et ce qu'ils ont à se dire ne leur fait pas forcément plaisir d'emblée... mais ils sont tous les deux très motivés à être avec l'autre, parce qu'ils n'ont jamais cessé de s'aimer *-*

et puis on a des scènes très adorables de Billy et Jethro et de Scarlett et Sienna, et de tous les autres Winston les un avec les autres ♥ Penny nous offre aussi un épilogue digne de ce nom (même si j'ai un peu lâché l'affaire pour savoir quelle marmaille appartenait à qui xD).

bref, ici se clôt la série avec brio, ils vont tous me manquer, mais heureusement que les séries dérivés des Smartypants Romance proposent plein de caméos ^^

Thank Thor I was on vacation to read this book because having to wait to be finished with work to read it would have been unbearable (yes, I know I'm exaggerating a bit...), because I literally spent my day to read it, only stopping to eat xD

The prequel "Beard With Me" had already put us in strong emotional conditions, but here Penny Reid kills us with a shovel. You thought you would be unscathed from the tome of Billy and Claire/Scarlett ? Nooo, first "dust in the eyes" at chapter 4 bam ! And that's only the beginning. We go from intensive squealing (sexy Billy coming out of the bathroom with just a towel ♥) to all the feels that falls on us at once, because people say things, and if the characters are crying, how would not do it too T_T ?

Do not worry, this novel is certainly charged with emotion, but it is also full of Winstonian antics : when all siblings + spouses + children are all on vacation in Tuscany, absurd things happens (and it's not always Cletus' fault xD). The synopsys says it : the whole family is ganging up with the sole objective that Billy and Scarlett are together at the end of the holidays. All tricks are allowed, all strategies, subtle or not, so that Billy and Scarlett spend time together and talk to each other.

Billy and Scarlett have a lot to say, they have spent years moping in their past actions and the consequences they've had, each never having the full truth about what happened and why the other has done so (all this is in Beard With Me). The path to forgiveness is not a pleasant one, they both suffer and what they have to say does not necessarily make them happy right away... but they are both very motivated to be with each other, because they never stopped loving each other *-*

and then we've got really adorable scenes with Billy & Jethro and Scarlett & Sienna, and from all the other Winston's with each other ♥ Penny also offers us an epilogue worthy of the name (even though I gave up to find out what brood belonged to whom xD).

in short, here the series ends brilliantly, I will miss them, but fortunately the series of Smartypants Romance offer plenty of cameos ^^

J'ai beaucoup aimé l'histoire de Tempest et Cage (tous deux portant des prénoms reflétant leur vie actuelle...), elle parle de gens blessés qui essaient tant bien que mal de se reconstruire. Ils vont s'aider, se motiver, se porter l'un l'autre pour être le meilleur d'eux-mêmes et arriver à passer à autre chose.

Tempest a fait ce que beaucoup d'héroïne de romance ne font pas, parce que c'est pas très positif comme modèle : quand elle surprend son mari au lit avec sa maîtresse, elle pète un câble et lui envois des trucs à figure, au point de se faire arrêter. Sa colère et sa tristesse n'aidant pas, elle récidive, plusieurs fois... Elle est sommée par un juge de faire des séances de management de la colère. Donc voilà, un profil comme ça, une héroïne impulsive, limite crazy qui a du mal à se contrôler sous la provocation c'est pas sexy...

Mais ça plait à Cage ^^, videur au Pink Pony, il est plus habitué à gérer des mecs chelous qu'une nana bourée qui veut danser sur le bar. Oui parce qu'en plus Tempest est pas sous son meilleur jour quand elle le rencontre. Sauf que Cage se sent responsable et surveille avec des yeux de faucons que personne ne l'embête, jusqu'à ce qu'elle se vautre sur lui et qu'il n'a pas d'autre choix que de la ramener en sécurité chez elle. Cage est un boxeur pro qui a dû subitement mettre fin à sa carrière suite à une blessure à l'épaule, il débarque à Green Valley pour être au calme et réfléchir à ce qu'il va bien pouvoir faire à la place.

De là, Cage et Tempest vont décider d'être amis, aucun des deux n'est prêt pour quoi que ce soit d'autre de toute façon. Et quand on est amis on se soutien dans les moments difficiles, c'est comme ça que Cage va proposer des cours de boxe à Tempest pour l'aider à évacuer, et réaliser grâce à elle qu'il y a d'autres opportunités professionnelles...

histoire de bien couiner, Cage est un viking, oui oui, ascendant norvégien par le papa, on imagine très bien un Alexander Skarsgard ♥

I really liked the story of Tempest and Cage (both wearing names reflecting their current life...), it talks about wounded people trying to rebuild themselves. They will help each other, motivate each other, help them be the best of themselves and get on with their life.

Tempest did what a lot of romance heroin didn't, because it's not very positive role model : when she catches her husband in bed with his mistress, she goes berserk and throws stuff at him, at one point she is arrested. Her anger and sadness does not help, she reoffends many times... She is ordered by a judge to do sessions of anger management. So here, a profile like that, an impulsive heroine, crazy girl who has trouble controlling herself under the provocation is not a sexy character...

But it pleases Cage ^^, bouncer at Pink Pony, he is more used to managing weird guys than a drunk chick who wants to dance on the bar. Yes, because in addition, Tempest is not at her best when she meets him. Except that Cage feels responsible and watches with hawks' eyes that no one is bothering her, until she faints on him and he has no choice but to get her safely home. Cage is a pro boxer who has suddenly had to end his career because of a shoulder injury, he arrives in Green Valley to have some quiet time and think about what he can do instead.

From there, Cage and Tempest will decide to be friends, neither is ready for anything else anyway. And when we are friends we support each other in difficult times, that's how Cage will offer boxing classes to Tempest to help her evacuate her anger, and realize through teaching her that there are other professional opportunities for him...

To add a good swoon, Cage is a viking, yes yes, Norwegian by dad, I imagine very well an Alexander Skarsgard for him ♥
