Time
de Penny Reid (2019)
Résumé : A (brokenhearted) physicist.
Now an infamous (who is LITERALLY EVERYWHERE!! UGH!) musician.
The worst has already happened.
Mona has learned that she has nothing figured out and plans are meaningless. After leaving her in Aspen, Abram is now breaking sales-records, rising to rock star fame almost overnight. Mona can’t seem to escape him. He is literally everywhere, or at least images of him are.
Just when she thinks things can't get any more confusing, Abram returns . . . What happens next? Only TIME will tell.
Third and last part of this trilogy, Mona and Abram finally have their happy ending, but not without having a few concessions to do. Because wether being a rock star on tour or working at CERN in Geneva, they don't have much time to see each other ^^.
Both are very motivated to make their relationship work, they talk a lot and work together on how they can see each other with their busy schedules. Not only do they make the effort to be a couple, but they also try not to completely forget about their families and friends : Mona has always had a complicated relationship with her sister and her brother and all three of them are going to have a lot to talk about. And Abram tries not to leave behind his friends and members of his group.
Each with an iron-will, Mona and Abram find a balance, always in movement, in their own space-time.
(Yes I am rather proud of my word pun on the 3 titles of this series)

Space
Penny Reid (2019)
Résumé : One week.
Private cabin.
Famous physicist.
Still an unrepentant slacker.
What’s the worst that could happen?
Mona’s meticulously planned allotment of relaxation is thrown into chaos by the unscheduled appearance of her older brother’s band of friends, including the one person she'd hoped to never face again. Abram still makes her feel entirely too much, which is one of the reasons she disappeared after their one week together. But now, trapped on a mountain of snow and things unspoken, Mona will have to find a way to coexist with Abram, chaos and all.
reading a lot makes us able to discern narrative schemas, which are sometimes clichés that makes us predict what the characters will do... we've all read at least one book that embraced a cliché so much that we knew in advance how it was going to end. SPACE is not like that :D
*** attention I may spoil stuff ***
MOTION introduced us to the two main characters in a particular situation, where one of them pretends to be someone else... my first instinct was to think "I hope it's not going to happen like that" and thankfully, it does not happen like that ^^
from the beginning of SPACE, the person who has been duped knows it, the plot takes place 2 years later and we learn how the lie was discovered, but the person who fooled the other doesn't know yet that the other knows (yeah I'm still trying to keep a little suspense about who's who xD).
Mona and Abram sea each other by chance in a snow-covered chalet (so no possibility of escape) and are therefore forced to talk to one another. of course, after the obligatory dialogue of "you lied to me", the fooled one stop his rancor to try to understand the reasons for the lies and on what exactly lies were about. I say houray because we do not ruminate on the past fact but we try to understand the point of view of the other, to go towards a reconciliation :)
Mona and Abram are in their twenties and they act and think like young people, so sometimes they do not necessarily act at their best as if they had seen everything, lived everything, and known everything... from time to time they do not hesitate to self-sermon to act as a responsible adult and not let their feelings lead them. this also applies to the secondary characters.
I really can not wait to read the 3rd installment TIME * - * hoping to see Leo (Mona's brother) and Allyn (Mona's best friend) again because there is potential swooning between these 2 ^^

Motion
de Penny Reid (2019)
Résumé : One week.
Home alone.
Girl genius.
Unrepentant slacker.
Big lie.
What’s the worst that could happen?
Mona is a smart girl and figured everything out a long time ago. She had to. She didn’t have a choice. When your parents are uber-celebrities and you graduate from high school at fifteen, finish college at eighteen, and start your PhD program at nineteen, you don’t have time for distractions outside of your foci. Even fun is scheduled. Which is why Abram, her brother’s best friend, is such an irritant.
Abram is a talented guy, a supremely gifted musician, and has absolutely nothing figured out, nor does he seem to care. He does what he feels, when he feels, and—in Mona’s opinion—he makes her feel entirely too much.
Laws of Physics is the second trilogy in the Hypothesis series; Laws of Physics parts 1 (MOTION) & 2 (SPACE) end with a cliffhanger.
Autant j’avais pas hyper accroché à Elements of Chemistry, autant là quelle belle première partie *_* .
I was not very excited about Elements of Chemistry, but Motion is a beautiful first part *_*. Mona is endearing in her weirdness and social maladjustment (and there are things that promise a good character development) and Abram is perfect xD (he reads **** and you swoon) (yes I censored myself for your great pleasure).
There's a story of "little" lie and confusion of identity that I hope will not fall into the cliché, as it's Penny Reid, I know she will not make a cliché of it #fingercrossed
Book 2 is awaited with impatience !
